Dear Family Member,
As hosts of the 2008 Lindsay/Lindsey Family Reunion in Houston, Texas beginning July 18th and ending July 20th, we are so excited about everyone coming to Houston, Texas, (which is the fourth largest city in the United States) for the first time. We have planned some awesome activities for the early birds and lots of things for those who arrive on Friday, July 18th. We would like to pose a contest between the seven descendants of Lawrence and Amelia. The family with the most descendants, who registers early, pays for the reunion fees early and arrives first at the reunion will receive a prize. So, be sure to contact all relatives and let them know about the Texas Size Reunion.
The Crown Plaza has been selected as the site for our lodging (when you make your reservation be sure to take the online tour of the facility) and some of the festivities planned. The rate is $70.00, plus tax (17%) nightly (2 nights = $163.80) for 1 to 4 people (They also have rollways). Additionally, children 0 to 5 eat free at the breakfast buffet. Children 6 to 12 eat at half price, which is $4.98. The adults breakfast buffet is $9.95 all of which includes tax. Please make your reservation online for the Lindsay/Lindsey Family Reunion on or before May 31, 2008. If you are flying into Bush Intercontinental or Hobby Airport, please let us know for the complimentary pick-up shuttle/van. (We will need your Airline, Flight Number, Arrival Gate, arrival and departure time).
In addition this website has been set up for information, hotel reservation, and different things about the reunion. Please, feel free to use the website for communication on the message board, contact someone from the family or just make an input for the reunion. To cover expenses for the 2008 reunion, each adult (anyone 18 to 74) is asked to pay $125.00, children and teenagers, who are between the ages of 11 to 17, we ask that you add an additional $55.00 per child. Children who are between the ages of 5 to 10 we ask that you pay an additional $35.00 per child. Children between the ages of 0 to 4 are free. Please use the Reunion Attendance/Address registration on the website to indicate the number of family members who will be attending. The fees are due no later than May 31, 2008. Again, the Senior Adults (75 and older) are still exempt from paying reunion expenses, but everyone will be responsible for paying their lodging and any other outside activities (the picnic of course is covered under the reunion fees). (Payment Example: 2 adults ($125.00 = $250.00) One teenager ($55.00) and two children ($70.00) total would be $375.00. If you began making deposits by November, 2006 it breaks down to $20.84 a month for 18 months). We thought this would make it affordable for everyone. To make it easy on everyone, we have set up an account with Bank of America where you can deposit any money at any time (starting right now). This is, so you don’t wait until the last minute to get your monies in for the reunion (remember there are only two of us). Please visit your local Bank of America and fill out a deposit slip for account number 5860 0063 0813 and include your name as well as Lindsay/Lindsey Reunion on the slip (This makes it easier for accounting purposes).
Because we do not have all the addresses for everyone, please share this information with other family members about the www.lindsaylindsey.com website so they may register. In addition, please let us know your family tree information as soon as possible. This is something we can not wait until the last minute.
